I contacted the Historical Society of Golden Valley North Dakota today, which covers Beach, ND. They have quite a number of original Charles O. Welch photographs there and quite a bit of information. The woman I talked to, knew of him right away. She also asked if I was related to “the LaSalles,” a family there in town. A woman named LaSalle is a personal friend of the woman I spoke with at the Society. I suggested to her that they may be related to Charles’ children from his second marriage, and asked her to contact the lady and ask a few questions. She is going to get on this and get the material together, specifically looking for the name of his second wife and children and any other family connections. She is also going to get a list of all the photos they have and when we are ready will have scans made of those available.
